This was a thoughtful look at the perspective of a teenager with Asperger-like characteristics. This is a more introspective novel although there are external conflicts that occur. It is still a bit slow-paced and has a slightly understated ending but I appreciate how realistic this is and the character development that occurs for Marcelo. I recommend this novel for high school age readers looking to expand their understanding of those who perceive the world differently.
