How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

5.0

For people who are saying this was not helpful or even hindered their social skills; in my opinion, you were not applying things correctly or with good judgment. Of course, human interaction requires nuance. Most of the examples are of people in business or political leadership, so of course, be wary of applying these tools to personal relationships. I really enjoyed this book and all of the examples and I've used some of the tools in my work as a fun experiment and noticed a difference. Friendships should come naturally and you should of course set and maintain boundaries. If you need help on that front, I would try a different book.
