The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova

Did not finish book.
After struggling trough more than 100 pages, I am officially giving up.
If you have ever watched movie 'Inception' then probably [a:Elizabeth Kostova|5918|Elizabeth Kostova|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1205259831p2/5918.jpg]'s style of writing will remind you of it. Narrator is a woman who is talking about a time when she was a little girl and about a stories that her father used to tell to her. Her father is talking about a time when he was young and about conversations with the one of his professors at the university. In those conversations, this professor Rossi is talking about a time when he was young and about... (Do you see the resemblance to the 'Inception' concept?)
Large part of the novel are chapters with descriptions of various cities in Europe which our heroine visits while traveling with her father or about various historical facts mostly related to Vlad Tepes.
