This review is based on enjoyment rather than literary merit. This book kept me reading until 3am on a work night because I was so invested in what happened to the characters (mainly Warner, though, realistically). It was tense and suspenseful. If you can get over the complete in total shift in the plot of this series--it really felt like book four started a different series--then it's worth a read. Or maybe I'm just in love with a fictional man. Either way.
Graphic: Kidnapping
Moderate: Body horror, Child abuse, Gun violence, Violence, Murder, and Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Eating disorder, Panic attacks/disorders, Sexual content, Torture, Forced institutionalization, and War
