I watched GOT before reading this book and I must say, I'm shocked how faithful season 1 was to the book. It felt like a scene for scene remake. Wonderful book, engaging story. Looking forward to the next!
Note on the Roy Dotrice audiobook: Mostly good but there were some weird pronunciation inconsistencies that I kept catching — sometimes he would say Winterfall rather than Winterfell, for example. I wish there had been some closer checks on that.
