Beware a Scot's Revenge by Sabrina Jeffries
4.0
Kidnapping, dub-con and kilts, oh my!
To be fair, this book is more forced seduction than dubcon, but when you’re kidnapped by a highwayman, you can’t expect him to be a gentleman.
Another bit of brain candy in this series, again it didn’t have anything to do with the school, but we have a rough Scottish hero, so who the fuck cares? *throws nitpicks out the window*
I would have enjoyed this audiobook more had it been read by a manrrator, but that’s my own issue and Justine Eyre did a fine job. I’m just sexist with my Scottish audiobook preferences.
The story here was light and not perfect, there was a lot of manipulation on the part of both mains instead of just speaking, but the heavy smut distracted me from the weak plot so who’s complaining? Plus there’s a decent grovel at the end, and I love to see a hero beg.
I’m gonna keep listening to these in those moments when I just don’t want to use my brain.
