Lost Dogs and Lonely Hearts by Lucy Dillon

3.0

I love British chick lit...but don't be fooled, this is NOT (as the back of the book claims) another Bridget Jones Diary! Cute...and about failed love? Yes....but laugh out loud funny? NO.

I saw the book at Borders and noted it for later...glad I didn't pay for this copy.

Book is about a woman with a failed relationship...who moves to the "country" to take over her deceased aunt's kennel/manor/dog rescue....and as she learns to fit in, she of course, takes up with the people around her. She of course meets a man...and we meet a couple. And we meet a lot of dogs. No border collies. Or Great Danes (look at book cover).

The story is....cute. A bit long. But cute.

Read if you want to escape monotony of teaching or train riding...or need to lose your brain without really thinking.
