my husband by maud ventura is a fascinating novel that dives into the intricate dynamics of a marriage, exploring obsessive love and psychological complexities. the story follows a woman who meticulously plans every interaction with her husband, constantly testing his affection.

i was so engrossed in this book that i finished it on the way to a theme park in the backseat of my friend’s car. i found myself completely captivated by the protagonist’s actions as she goes to great lengths to maintain the facade of a flawless marriage. i will admit, i could see a bit of myself in her character, which is both amusing and slightly concerning! this book really spoke to the anxiously attached girlies out there, in the best and worst way possible. it might just be my favorite read of the year, and one i’m already considering revisiting soon.

for those who enjoy delving into the complexities of human relationships and psychology, with a touch of dark humor. my husband is a compelling read that will keep you thinking about the blurred lines between love and obsession.
