The Blood We Crave: Part Two by Monty Jay
4.0
trigger warning ‼️
this book is suitable for 18+ and deals with dark and mature themes.
part 1: ★★★★⋆ stars
part 2: ★★★★⋆ stars
the blood we crave part 1 & 2 are my favourite books of the series! i enjoyed the relationship between thatcher and lyra…even if it was an obsessive sadistic relationship. they were one soul intertwined into two bodies and it really showed. the pair were fixated on eachother from the moment they met believing that fate set them together. lyra was thatchers little phantom, his ghost and thatcher was lyras angel of death, her angel. it was refreshing that the relationship didn’t have any miscommunication or petty arguments (i mean considering they’re sadistic it’s kind of a given). the way their minds worked and the peculiar way they showed their love without saying it drew me in. they killed, fought and protected eachother whilst being possessive giving the “i’ll burn the world for you” energy we all love. it was also refreshing to not have a ‘helpless’ fmc. she was strong resilient and stood her ground despite being outcasted as the weird bug lady.
the story was written beautifully and i felt like everything made sense throughout the whole story which i thoroughly enjoyed. if there was a mystery or an issue, it was fixed without having to wait till the very end. i will definitely be reading more books by this author! and i am definitely going to be reading stilas’s story!!
‼️ this story is a DARK romance so i do caution this story as it there is lots of blood and detailed knife play. this book is for 18+ and i DO NOT recommend anyone younger to read it as it is mature.
