But You Seemed So Happy: A Marriage, in Pieces and Bits by Kimberly Harrington

3.0

I had a few nice moments of solidarity with the author, who is also a Gen X-er in a decades-long marriage, and it felt good to be seen. Ultimately though, this book has a very cynical outlook that I was weary of by the end. I mean, it's understandable, as ending a marriage isn't exactly restorative and invigorating, nevertheless if you read it you may want to pace yourself.
