I think this series is the romance equivalent to Cozy Mysteries - a Cozy Romance series.
I still appreciate the things Craig does well: no outrageous misunderstandings, no rambling internal dialogs in lieu of character/plot development. It's starting to grate that none of the main characters ever have FRIENDS. They may have family, staff, or coworkers, but never actual friends. (Dear reader, IRL this is a Red Flag!)
Catherine at SmartBitches called book one: "low-tension and low-conflict while still having plenty of story and heart to keep you reading." Book three is higher-tension, and it caused me to consume it more slowly. (It's still low-tension compared to other books in the genre!) I'm still looking forward to book 4, whenever it is released.
Audiobook narrator Esther Wane still gets 5 stars.
