Four Revolutions in the Earth Sciences: From Heresy to Truth by James Lawrence Powell

Did not finish book.
There was an entire chapter devoted to random people who were wrong about the age of the earth for the same reason but with slightly different details. Like, there's showing there were lots of people wrong to prove a point, and there's not actually having a point for an entire chapter of the book - this entire thing could have been condensed to a 10k-word essay and be way more readable.
