And Another Thing... by Eoin Colfer

2.0

2,5/I can't fathom the fact that the first disappointment of 2020 comes from the conclusion of one of my favourite series of all time (the quintessential read for anyone who wants to dive into sci-fi).The hitcheiker's series has its own complexly beautiful and unique set of rules about space and space travel that result in one of the most pristine worldbuilding I've ever read and Colfer's creative decision to put Norse Mythological into the mix, thus influencing the direction towards which the ending was headed watered down the storytelling. His attempt at humour, and much more to grasp the indiciocracy of British humour and deliver it effortlessly (a key point of the books and Adam's field of expertise) layed flat at most times.
