This book is disturbing. Don’t read too much about this book ahead of time.  It builds slowly, and I found myself often saying “what the heck is really happening here???”.  It’s like a puzzle: you are gradually given the pieces but they don’t seem to be making a clear picture, until that last piece goes in.
