Love Among the Treetops by Catherine Ferguson

2.0

This one had a lot of build up which hooked me to reading it in a day. For that reason I was tempted to rate it higher but in end there was little pay off. The romance problems with Theo Steel (a name I got sick of quickly with all the repetition) are dragged on & on before being suddenly wrapped up. I had thought there would be another book and this was planned to become a series, that’s how dragged on it was but nope.
By last chapter he’s had a sudden change of mind & they’re together.

The reveal of Lucy’s was a little more interesting but also didn’t really make sense. It doesn’t explain why Lucy targeted Twilight since they were six.
Also why hold Twilight responsible for the decisions of Jason, the high school boyfriend?

Then again, I guess part of the point with the bully storyline is that Lucy is completely illogical. Also sidebar, Lucy is not a character to pity in the end. She’s still an absolute psycho who tried to screw over two terminally ill characters regardless of what happened when she was 16.
