The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy
5.0
I'm broken. I'm shattered.
After this reading this book, the only thing that popped up in my mind is, "Love doesn't always win."
Arundhati Roy tears off the Jolly Good face of India to talk about the stinking age-old casteism that has plagued the Indian society since its inception. Politicians & party workers screaming out loud, "Caste is Class", chooses not to protect The God of Small Things from the terrifying clutches of the caste system, because he chose to love someone, who smells like old roses on a breeze.
God, I have never written such an ambiguous rant ever (except in my homework from college).
