This is as much a warm, frank, sometimes-funny, always efficient biographical drama as it is a social critique wrapped up in the twin formats of essay and play, and it excels at both. Shaw is a killer writer and I'm glad to have dipped a toe back into his body of work - especially, serendipitously, in the month that ends with celebrating her canonization!
