So far this has been my least favorite of the series. "Rise of the Huntress" doesn't seem as scary or have as much action as the original books in the series. It was almost...boring. I am also confused with the changes that have been going on with Tom. In this book and the one before it, Tom seems to be breaking his master's rules and crossing lines. I can't tell if everything is going to blow up in his face and he'll learn a valuable lesson about compromising his principles, OR if he'll teach his master that everything is not black and white. It's very confusing.
I give this book two and a half stars.
