Listen, the spice level is high here which is fun however if I read one more modern romance where it all ends in pregnancy and engagement I’m going to lose my mind. That is not everybody’s HEA. I love a strong male lead and can even handle him being overprotective but the rest in this book and most others is all such boring patriarchal conditioning. This female lead goes through terrible trauma and immediately finds a living supportive chosen family and partner. That’s great but can she just live with that for a minute? I think I’m going to need TWs for this garbage. If the female lead is in her early 20’s and there are kids I’M OUT. I am BEGGING writers to expand there character base to focus on grown, independent, women at least in their 30’s. We all hear how worthless we become as we age, why are women writers further supporting this belief? Im sick of it.
