An absolutely endearing take on the classic novel this book is based off of. To step into the shoes of Oliver and experience the journey of self-discovery in a colorful historical setting was exciting and touching. The representation in this book was greatly appreciated and I hope that many people can find belonging and understanding within the text, just like Oliver did. The author intended to create a tender lover story for trans people and I think he succeeded immensely, as that message can be clearly felt throughout the story’s length.
