Skinny Bitch: A No-Nonsense, Tough-Love Guide for Savvy Girls Who Want to Stop Eating Crap and Start Looking Fabulous! by Rory Freedman, Kim Barnouin

2.0

Reading this felt like an abusive relationship and now you might think "Well why does she rate it with two stars then?"
It still was informative in some points and if you look at it in a very positive way, it can help you to a more positive mindset... a very positive look you have to wear tho. And you very much have to try to ignore the "Well you fat pig" comments, which made it feel like an abusive relationship. One moment it was "Oh it's okay, if you still eat chocolate and remember that change takes time" and next page boom "you fat pig, get off your ass and do something about your sad life", which obviously is bad.
And besides the facts about the animal products industry, there were also some questionable things being said. And there was some very big bullshit.
Especially in the end when they wrote about how it's no wonder that someone gets breast and ovarian cancer, if she gets treated badly by her husband when she can't "embrace her womanhood". Like excuse me??? That is so bullshit. Yes our mental health and our thoughts contribute to how we are and react to almost everything, a positive mind CAN be beneficial when you are sick but it is no cure and being insecure about your breasts, being treated badly or any of sorts won't get you breast cancer what the hell were they thinking???
Take the
"You can do whatever you want, if you put your mind to it." out of this book and but it as your motto, take the "you fat pig" and the "you can get breast cancer when not embracing your womanhood" and put it in the trash, where it belongs.
