Witch's Pyre by Josephine Angelini
3.0
3,5 stars!
This book was not as bad as expected. Friends and reviewers have told me that they couldn´t enjoy it, but I really think it was okay.
Yes, I have to agree that it isn´t one of Josephine Angelinis best works.
Especially at the beginning I had the feeling that the book lost its central theme and that the author tried to built up a different story with a different problem. What I liked best about the other two books was this "desperate diseases require desperate remedies"-kind of conflict. This part was totally missing on the first 100 pages.
Another problem was Lilys relation to Rowan. I´m sorry, but this didn´t work out for me in this book.
Nevertheless, I was satisfied with the ending and how everything wraped up. I am still a huge Angelini fan and will forever love her general idea of this series and the new view on witches she created.
