Still Life, by Louise Penny

5.0

I have been looking for a series to read for sometime. I must be getting old but I don’t need psychological gore, damaged detectives, and foul language every 4th word to intrigue me. I found this to be a wonderful book, Armand was cerebral, brave, and a leader. The characters were some likable, some not so much. The descriptive scenes make me want to go to Canada for a while. I found it to be reminiscent of Agatha Christie which l loved. Almost a cozy mystery but not quite. If I had read these reviews I might not have read it. I’m glad I did, I found the writing to be smooth and a pleasure to read. Just goes to show people have different tastes, likes, and dislikes. Read it for yourself and decide. I loved it and can’t wait to read more.
