I am already incredibly biased toward Adam Silvera’s writing, but even then this quickly became one of my favorites of his. It’s a prequel, but can be read as a stand alone. To be honest, I loved it more than its predecessor. It breaks your heart and puts it back together again, set in a New York that Silvera captures perfectly. I don’t usually scream at books, but I may have flung this one down several times. One of those books that I would give anything to read for the first time again.
