Jade City was easily the best book I have read in a long while. I'm pretty sure it just completely cured my reading slump. I love all these characters and would die for them. The worldbuilding, the magic system, the politics, the family dynamic—everything was absolutely perfect! It is the type of story that makes you feel a wide range of emotions. I found myself laughing with the Kaul family and also crying alongside them. I am equally excited and terrified to continue the series. I need everyone to be okay. I can't handle any more trauma. 😀👍
