It was enjoyable. Not mythologically accurate in any sense (other than the names of the characters and their relations to one another) but it felt like reading a fanfiction. Which, I guess, is pretty accurate to what it actually is.
I don’t have too much to say about this book, but it was entertaining. I did feel like Persephone is a bit too infantalized for me here, even though she is portrayed as an adult. I know they’re setting it up as like she has a lot to learn, but maybe it’s her character design.
Either way, I might read the rest of the series in my spare time.
