Violeta by Isabel Allende

medium-paced

5.0

Isabel Allende can do no wrong.

The magic in this one is so subtle and beautiful. The story of Violeta and her family is winding and precarious, and precious and obscene.  I cried for about half of the book. The ending is both breaking and heartwarming and surreal- cannot stop thinking about it.
