The Golden Mean: In Which the Extraordinary Correspondence of Griffin & Sabine Concludes by Nick Bantock

3.0

Not sure why but this book didn’t connect with me. Perhaps the introduction of a sinister third party into the correspondence took time away from Griffin and Sabine. Perhaps it felt like Griffin was more in love with Sabine than she with him. Something was off.

I still enjoyed the book and some of the letters in particular were great but perhaps the conceit is getting old. The last postcard was also vague - I want to know if Griffin finally met Sabine etc. I little more of a hint would be appreciated. I get that spelling it out would be too much but still.

This feels like the author was setting up more books than trying to resolve this one. For that I couldn’t give it a higher rating.
