Wild Eyes is a new release and the second book in Elsie Silver’s Rose Hill series. It is a perfect big-star-meets-small-town romance, with a blend of wittiness and all of the feelings. This is one of my most anticipated new releases of the year and it is everything I hoped it would be. The vibes in this book and fantastic.
Every single character that Elsie Silver writes is just perfect. The women are strong and smart and capable. The men are perfectly rugged yet tender. And Weston Belmont may just be the most perfectly imperfect fictional man in the history of fictional men. I was swooning for him through the entire book.
I love the dynamic between Skylar and West. I’m always skeptical of single parent romances but this was well done. West’s loneliness at times just made him so real. And although Skylar’s inner monologue of anxiety and fear hit a little too close to home at times, it was good to see her find her way. I adore West’s cheesy headlines that he would email to Skylar. You can’t help but root for them to find their happily ever after.
