Breezy, light read. Entertaining but predictable in the way that stories about ordinary lives are. What stands out the most is how incredibly true-to-life the relatives and complicated family equations are. The one who makes stupid comments all the time, the one who thinks he knows everything, the one who just doesn't get you - we all have at least one of these in our lives. Character development is great but most of the dialogues are very stilted, particularly between Sophie and her parents. With just the right amount of drama and good writing, this is a one-sitting book.
