Princeless, Vol. 3: The Pirate Princess by Jeremy Whitley

3.0

My library just got this in the children's section, and since I had no idea it was the third in a series, I went and signed it out (despite me usually being a stickler for reading things in order). The cover caught my attention, and I glanced at the first couple pages, and then somehow I built it up in my head until I believed that I needed desperately to read it and that it was going to be the /best thing ever/ and that I was going to love it more than anything else in the world.

I do that sometimes.

Of course, with expectations like that, things aren't going to quite line up. But I still enjoyed it. Not a ton of depth, but it was cute and light, and I loved the art. Rather like watching a Saturday morning cartoon; lots of quips and fighting and running around. I'll probably check the library system to see if we have the others, especially since my brother ended up reading it too and said he wanted more.
