Personal Effects: What Recovering the Dead Teaches Me about Caring for the Living by Robert A. Jensen

informative reflective medium-paced

5.0

I read this book probably 6 or 7 months ago now and I think about it almost everyday. I'm in training ti be an osteologist; I was just figuring that out back when I read this book. It for me, has been a pivotal book for my understanding of my field outside of archaeology and it opened my eyes to ways I can make a difference with my training in today's world. I never even considered doing work with modern humans until this novel. I read another 6 books, or more, about the field of modern osteological work because of this book. I decided to firmly commit to my grad school because of this book. If it wasn't clear, this book changed my life. My only 6 star read to date.  Truly excellent.
