I just devoured this one!! 😩

LOVED this one!! Such a cute story with a great story plot.. but boy when they turn on the spice.. whooo! The spice! 🥵 Love the take no shit guy rescuing the girl (and her kids!) from the dirtbag guy. It is a plus that they are a rekindled friendship turned into lovers. I love the stepdad vibes Frank gives! Strong loveable characters 😍. A favorite read for this year.

Quotes:

“I’ve never felt for another person what I feel for you. I’ve never thought my heart might explode out of my chest at just the thought of kissing another person.”

“I’ve never loved another woman. Period. The end. You’re it for me. You always have been.”

“I love you, Ellie. So fucking much. Don’t be anyone else. Don’t wish you were another woman, because the only woman I’ve ever loved like this is you. Now please, let me show you,” he murmurs against my lips.

This man cries for me. Aches for me. And I know, above all else, he’ll protect me.

“You want romance, Ellie?” he asks. “How about this? I intend to fuck you while your husband bleeds out beside us, dying a slow, painful death, so it’s the last thing he’ll ever see. And then I’m going to spend the rest of my life reminding you of how much I love you.”

“I don’t beg for sex, Ellie. But if your heart is on the line, baby, I’ll get down on my fucking knees.”
