I. Just. Love. This.
Oscar and Cal are absolutely everything. Hurt/comfort, size difference, paranormal/fantasy, mm romance.
Hurt/comfort is one of my favourite tropes and this was done so well. I just loved how much Cal was there for Oscar, helping him through his past trauma.
Oscar is human, he’s a teacher and he’s still healing from his past abusive relationship. Cal is a demon with a reputation, after leaving hell with his brothers over a hundred years ago, he’s just happy living his life on earth, just running his bookshop and hooking up with no wants for a relationship. Until he meets Oscar. There was a good mix of plot and spice, the story flowed nicely and I didn’t feel like the spice was taking over.
I honestly wasn’t expecting this to be as fun as it was. I was expecting something dark, which it still was, but the humour, the sarcastic comments and banter made this a lot lighter than it would have been. I’m also a sucker for size difference, so yeah, that was pretty hot.
I can’t wait for Harlow’s book, I just loved him.
