The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

5.0

I just closed The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and am truly under the charm of this novel I just finished. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is just beautiful. It is a story of life. It is a story of death. It is a story of hope. It is a story of vengeance. There are so many, but yet so little things to say about this story. The story of a girl that cannot be remembered. A girl cursed to be forgotten as soon as we looked away. Addie is a ghost walking among the humans, but she is still undoubtedly really alive and her story is just unbelievable.

The atmosphere of this book is just unique, fragile. There is stillness, and moments of peace. There is no time, and moments of war. There is hate. There is love. And there is more hate.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is the story of a girl who wanted more than her simple French peasant life. It is the story of a girl who dreamt of something bigger than what she had. It is the story of a girl who said a prayer and made a deal, a prayer to the Gods that answered after Dark. It is the story of a girl whose request was answered by the Darkness. And that girl’s name is Addie LaRue.
