I am stingily with my 5 star ratings but this book is truly brilliant. Being an actor in a small college program reading about actors in a small college program felt so homey and almost too real at times. I felt so connected to the humanity of each character and felt everything as they felt it. The themes of martyrdom, love, found family, and Shakespeare were unforgettable. M.L. Rio is a genius and I will be following every book she releases. I can see how this book is confusing or pretentious to anyone who has not studied theatre, but I think it is a perfect dip into the world of drama for those who are interested (or those who it’s everyday life).
