Maybe some slight spoilers cause wtf??
No thanks. Where are all of these 5 star rave reviews coming from because what in the world?? This book was posted by the author then raved about in a FB psychological thriller group so I was excited for it to be my next read and I was wanted to try something different. The prologue sucked me in but as I continued I was incredibly disappointed. The dialogue between the high school girls is so awkward and cringe. Girls/ women do not talk like that, “Ok girlfriend?”
I have zero triggers so nothing is really shocking to me but the abuse and degradation for pages and pages was just gross. I didn’t get it.
The friendship turned relationship development was extremely odd especially once you find out who Jay is. I just didn’t get it. I regret finishing and it should have just gone to my DNF
