Batman: The Long Halloween, by Jeph Loeb

3.0

I loved the sexy art style. Normally I'm bored when women are drawn with the same boring wash board abs and back braking poses, but I liked the lines and style of this book. Of course this book still gave catwoman some weird poses and washboard abs, but it so did Batman. I particularly loved the picture of him getting a bear hug and having his torso squeezed up tight and contorted. There are some really touching scenes with catwoman and the soft curving lines of her tail and his cape were really nice.

Loved the organized crime and murder elements. It felt like an old fashioned hard boiled noir style mystery.

I didn't read the summary at all so I didn't know it wasn't completely about Halloween. I really wanted to read something Halloween and this one didn't really satisfy that itch. That's totally my fault for not reading the summary, but if you (undecided reader) are looking for a Halloween book to read you might want to choose another.
