Aaron Falk is growing on me.
I enjoyed Force of Nature significantly more than The Dry. Perhaps that could be chalked up to my love of the outdoors, hiking, and the dreaded team building activities? I enjoyed the development of Falk's personality from the first novel to this one, and am really looking forward to Harper's next novel coming out.
Although you don't need to read the first novel to read this one, I would suggest reading them both. This novel doesn't have any spoilers if you read them out of order, but Falk's relationship with his father will make way more sense if you read them in the correct order.
