I'll Be Your Blue Sky by Marisa de los Santos

4.0

Clare is back, and in a state of total anxiety about her upcoming wedding. I guess it's realistic that people in relationships may be blind to what's going on in them. Zach was so obsessive and so creepy that it was really upsetting to watch Clare keep trying to talk herself into staying with him. Especially when it's *so* clear that Dev is her soul mate. I felt that this was unusually heavy-handed for this author, whose other work I adore. Taking it right up to the wedding before Clare breaks it off, really? And her persistence in ignoring her feelings about Dev makes it harder for me to sympathize with her. And maybe it's just me, but when plot lines and family histories started getting complicated I had a hard time following who was pairing off with who when and having which offspring. I don't know. I adore Ms. de los Santos' work but this one is far from my favorite.
