As a Star wars fan this exceeded my expectations. I always wanted to read from the perspective of a Sith and I got what I wanted.

I absolutely loved the journey that from Des the miner to, Bane the acolyte to Sith Lord and to Bane eventually claiming the Darth title. Star wars always played with the question of morality, the differences between good and evil. I think this story really portrays the nuanced evil. The psychology behind becoming a Sith, a being that is seen as cruel and evil, is being explained by his past (the abuse of both his dad and the surrounding people). The lack of help he got as a child, going through traumatic events like that are a good segway into the "evil" ways.
I also think the twist about Bane killing his father was well thought of. He had supressed it and the moment the memory came back he was challenged with a freeze reaction.
I found it interesting that the background behind "darth" is defined as a title of superiority, befitting for a Sith. It's interesting that we get to see a time where the Sith tried to work as a group, and how they fail because of distrust amd so called ambition which is just ego against ego. I really understand now why the rule of two is a more fitting format.
I could keep talking about everything I liked but I will keep it short. If you want to get into the mind of the Sith, this book is the perfect way.
