Selected Stories by Katherine Mansfield
5.0
An iridescent glimpse into the mind of Mansfield, the short stories contained herein will capture you, churn you up and spit you out again - only for you to look in the mirror and see all the parts most familiar, for the first time. If not just an exquisite show of how literature can be used to truly unravel the human psyche, then - at the very least - an utterly enjoyable read of the 20th century. For the day, I was transported to a completely different time in which I experienced childhood (with fervent reference to Prelude and The Dolls House), adolescence (The Garden Party) and mid life (Psychology) as if it were my own, however unparalleled to the current affair it may be.
