It was available at the time as an Audiobook from my library. Not usually the kind of book i would normally pick up, but I enjoyed the listening. Dont think i would have finished it otherwise. Loved the narrator, perfect voice for the MC, I felt he fit the character perfectly!
It wasn't a "romance" book in any trope of the word but there is a love interest and interactions which was almost refreshing (ive been on a huge Romance binge for like 2 years).
I liked how the ending of the book summed up and reiterated that life aint like the movies which is a reoccuring statement made throughout the novel.
If old time detective/Private Eye type books are your thing, a bit of realism in your fiction, you'll enjoy this! If your looking for more fantastical or whimsical, id keep looking.
