The Rose of Fire by Carlos Ruiz Zafón

Despite the shortness of Rosa de Fuego (or thanks to it?), I cannot find any flaws that would cause me to give it less than 5 stars.
In just a few pages, Zafón managed to interlace two great stories with the right doses of fantasy and history in his gorgeous writing style - oh, I had forgotten what a pleasure it is to read his works!
I read this book in the blink of an eye, yet it struck me with thrilling revelations and the reminder of why Carlos Ruiz is one of my favourite authors - or maybe the absolute favourite?
