An odd choice for a favorite- but my favorite Sparks book. It’s one I come back to again and again because one) there’s no movie to warp my picture of it and two) the ending resolves naturally. Do I find some of Miles’s actions questionable? Yes but not in a completely far out way. I find the morality of Sarah a little off putting sometimes because she doesn’t really come across as a character with any flaws, but then again, even though this is a “romance” the story isn’t really about her.
I figured out whodunnit pretty early on, but was still hooked enough to want to keep going to see how everything unraveled.

Graphic: Car accident, Death, and Grief
Moderate: Gun violence and Injury/Injury detail
