Snowed In by Teodora Kostova

3.0

Teodora Kostova is a new-to-me author, and I really liked the writing style. However, I did have some issues with the characters, which I hope I can explain without spoiling the book. I adore holiday stories and second chance stories, too, so this one really could have been the icing on the cake for me.

I adored Nate and was really hoping the heartbreak mentioned wasn’t too terrible. In spite of, or maybe because of, his age, I really felt for him when things didn’t go quite the way he planned. I actually kinda hated Quinn there for a bit, and hoped he had a good excuse for what happened with Nate.

However, it was not to be. And I really began to dislike Brandon, Nate’s brother, for a bit there, too. I was a bit disappointed with Quinn’s reasoning, and was behind Nate’s anger entirely when Quinn comes prancing back into Nate’s life. I had hoped Nate would make Quinn work on redeeming himself more, but he caved entirely too early for my tastes. Perhaps I am a bit vindictive, but Quinn deserved whatever Nate chose to dish out to him, and then some.

Since this is a holiday tale, though, the happily-ever-after was given with some detriment to the storyline, in my opinion. However, I will seek out more of this author’s work at a later date.
