God damn, what is happening to this book series.
Case point: that's exactly what happened in this book.
I really think the book series could have worked if while Dimitri was gone, she didn't date Adrian. I say it because I think that this ruined her 'strong' character. She's the same Rose but with this added obsession over Dimitri it's really turned me off her.
I've hit the end, let us hope the last book isn't as painful as the last two.

I have this tic that happens in a LOT of YA books, or naturally when someone tries to stay away from guy 1 but ends up stringing guy 2 along. Then when guy 1 returns, guy 2 is rejected. When guy 1 does not want girl, girl cozies up to guy 2. All the while, guy 2 knows what's going on, is upset, but takes what he can get.Case point: that's exactly what happened in this book.
