The Fated and the Damned by Chloe Hodge

5.0

This is the second book of the duology and it’s even better then the first. We got to delve deeper into the characters. Death was such a mysterious character and I really wanted to know more about him after the first book, but he didn’t really get much air time, never the less this book was packed full of magic, deceit, lies and plenty of spice. I love how kitarni grew both as a person and a warrior. Her strength and resolve for her people and the want to protect them. She was relentless in her pursuit to save the clans and the world and quickly realized she needed to work with those around her and share the load. Dante was my favourite in this book and I just loved his inner monologue. He and kitarni together are a force to be reckoned with and I could feel the love he had for her pouring off the page, The world Chloe built was rich and I thoroughly enjoyed both of these books.
