If you think this is peak romance, I don’t know what to tell you….

How can you fall in love with the love interest when his only personality is cooking?? You can tell a millennial wrote this when one of the characters had earrings of snakes that said “f*** off.” Cringe. Also, pumpkin fajitas?? JAIL.

From start to finish this book was predictable. I mean it had all the eye-rolling tropes:

“This isn’t you 🥺” trope
I’m going to leave my job to follow my passion 😛
trope
and the classic… “I’m going to give birth at the most inconvenient time” trope.

Very few scenes make the book redeemable. My favorite would be when
Clementine sees her aunt one last time.
Although I saw it coming, I’ll have to admit it is very sweet.
