Wow so good. Covers a complicated mother-daughter relationship, loss and grief, Korean-American identity, connection to food and culture. Read this with Psychopomp in the background and lots of tears and UGH. Kind of slow at the end, but it kind of felt like dragging through grief, kind of mimicking her own experience maybe? I don’t know if enjoyed is the right word, but I highly loved reading this.
Graphic: Racism, Terminal illness, Grief, and Death of parent
Minor: Animal cruelty and Infidelity
